This is a HANDS-ON training course! Learn how to defend yourself and your family against those that might do you harm. This is an advanced pistol course. Students will build upon the basic fundamentals learned in the NRA Basic Pistol Course. The NRA Basic Pistol Course is a pre-requisite for NRA Personal Protection in the home.

Students will be drawing from a holster and shooting around barriers using left and right hands.

Students must bring their own firearm they plan on using for defense
Students must bring 300 rounds of ammunition for their firearm - factory ammunition only
Students must bring a holster they have chosen for defense

***NRA Basic Pistol is a pre-requisite for NRA Personal Protection in the Home***

This is a HANDS-ON training course! So, you've taken the basic pistol course and think you can use your firearm for self-defense? You may want to think twice before squeezing that trigger. Using a firearm to defend yourself, family and property is a very big responsibility and legal liability. Course topics include Defensive Shooting Safety, Mental Preparation, Defensive Shooting Skills, Strategies For Home and Personal Safety, Self-Defense And The Law and Selecting Firearms, Ammunition and Accessories For Personal Protection. You will learn to shoot with defensive accuracy while under stress at an outdoor range. We recommend you bring your own defensive firearm and 300-400 rounds of ammunition (cost of ammunition not included in course fee). If you do not yet have a firearm for defense we can supply one for you. You must take the NRA Basic Pistol Course before enrolling in this course.
