The NRA Home Firearm Safety course is a four-hour course that teaches students about safe gun handling in the home. NRA Home Firearm Safety course is conducted in the classroom only and will teach students gun safety rules, the primary causes of firearm accidents, the different types of firearms available on the market and how they function, firearm parts, how to load and unload, proper ammunition selection and components as well as dealing with gun and ammunition malfunctions. Students will receive the NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Basic Firearm Training Program brochure and a course completion certificate.
